It is harbored close to the edge of Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain Marina. The archipelago consists of four islets grouped together in the shape of a coral. In addition to those four islets, Al Marjan Island has been built up on land area of 115 acres. Other island developments that lie east of Al Marjan Island include Al Hamra Village and Mina Al Arab.
